The Paradox of a day skiing in Dizin        

In a country that is very conservative and limiting in social laws and rules, Visiting this ski resort is a paradox in nature. Al Jazeera published a pictorial of the resort/area today.





The Darbandsar area were Dizin Resort is locted in is built in to the Alborz mountain range in the shadow Damavand,  world’s second peak. The area has become a popular destination for many of the affluent young, the resort is one an hour’s drive from the capital.





The resort is generally open from early November to late May, during none skiing season visitors can enjoy hiking & climbing as well.
