A couple of YouTubers who are always up for a weird challenge have now built the world's heaviest laptop that weighs 45 kg and uses Intel components.
Currently, the largest laptop comes in a 21-inch size, however, Evan and Katelyn built a 43-inch laptop using a Samsung M70B display.
Making the biggest laptop in the world
Most parts of this laptop are made of plywood, supported by aluminum extrusion frames with a hinge. However, the 43-inch screen of the device can be moved up and down. For the device's keyboard, the pair have used a Redragon K605 mechanical keyboard, and have also eliminated the need for a mouse by including a tablet-sized touchpad from LTC.
The biggest challenge for making the world's heaviest laptop is undoubtedly finding a suitable battery for it. They have used several 150 watt batteries for their device, two of which are used to provide the energy required for the display and the small computer and a third smaller battery to support the LED light.
The internal hardware of this laptop also includes Intel's NUC 11 Enthusiast Kit, Intel's 11th generation Core i7-1165G7 processor and Nvidia RTX 2060 graphics card. Despite these parts, the YouTuber couple has managed to run several games on the device.
After deciding on the laptop's hardware, Evan and Kathleen 3D printed the plastic parts, cut out the wooden parts, designed the logo, and then joined the different parts together to make the world's largest laptop. .
