Faradid: Very old photos usually do not have an exact date, and it is only known in what year they were taken. But the photos taken by Frederick Gadamer from Iran 95 years ago are an exception to this rule. The exact date of these photos is known and it is known what year, month and day they were taken. This feature definitely makes watching these photos give us a wonderful feeling of traveling in the heart of history.
The photos you see here were taken on Wednesday, July 28, 1306, that is, about a century ago. These photos are related to Gadamer's one-day trip from Tehran to the city of Ray. The top photo shows the gate of Shah Abd al-Azim, and the bottom photo depicts the view of the shrine from the surrounding rooftops.
